Pub CO2 regulator on Sealey refillable?

I've got a Sealey 1kg refillable CO2 bottle, and as well as the crappy no gauge regulator (like for disposables), I've also got a two gauge regulator for use with a pub-type CO2 bottle.
Is it possible to use the two gauge reg with this bottle?
It looks like the thread matchs the lower thread on the bottle, but that's no good with the top threaded part in the way...

No I didn't think so really.

Worth asking though, since I already had the regulator - came "free" with the welder

get a pub bottle cheaper than sealy refills and have heard that you can't get them refilled any more!

Thanks for the pic or the regulator been worrying that my reg wouldn't fit my bottle!

That's easier said than done!

I tried my local landlord, but he wouldn't give me a bottle as he says they are rented and all accounted for.

I emailed Adams gas, and Abbey beers, but neither replied. Also tried cylindersUK, but the place they said to get an initial fill from was over 100 miles from me, and they didn't reply to my second email.

So I kind of gave up on that idea.
