and grinding to do on a land Rover bulkhead corner,whats the best way to protect the windscreen from sparks ?, i really dont want to take the screen out,would a normal "household fire blanket" be enough ?.
I bought a welding screen from ebay years ago, and it has proved it's worth.
I think it was about £20 just for the screen. I didn't need a frame as I just wanted it to cover the interior or my van whilst welding.
It won't stop a big hot blob of weld from eventually burning through it, but for grinding it is fine.
Something like item number 260539872125 on Ebay should be ok. It says in the description that you can get a green flame retardent version. (Mine is white, but looks to be made of a similar material).
