Can propylene be used with an acetylene regulator as I can't find a multi stage propane regulator. And do you need special heating and cutting tips or will propane or acetylene ones work?
Its all different kit, hoses and regs should be for propane as the gas is very different to acetylene chemically.(although people do use the same it is not to be recommended)
Welding tips are usually for both - generally
Cutting and heating tips are totally different.
Propylene uses a two piece nozzle and acetylene uses a one piece nozzle. Acetylene is stored at 15.5 bar where as propylene is higher. You will need to get all the correct fixtures and fitting for using propylene.
