Not a mis-tripe, I've been googling and can't find anything definite about this.
I have a notion that I can safely use my auto-dark helmet for brazing with, if I simply have it turned off, since the relatively low-level UV and IR from a brazing job will be blocked by the native shade (about a 4) of the GYS helmet I have. In fact, I think I can use my old helmet with the knackered autodark purely for this application and just leave it in the off (knacked) state.
If this were oxy-ace, I'd automatically go shopping for goggles, of course, and I've brazed using oxy goggles in the past, but they seem overkill for this.
