Propane 19kg to Propane 3.9kg

Hi Guys

i have a full 19kg propane which is far to large i have just got myself a 3.9kg bottle

can i use the 19kg to fill the 3.9kg ?

if u have a short hose with a pol connector on each end u can

No problem You need to invert the 19kg and have it higher than the 3.9kg. Can take ages to fill. I fill all sizes out of a 90kg

But! Unless you're emptying immediately, take care not to fill it completely, leave somewhere for the gas.

you can speed things up with a kettle of hot water over the 19kg bottle.

If you slightly vent the receiving bottle by having the connector a bit loose you can get it filled in a third of the time..must be done outside and with caution though including keeping the receiving bottle stood up.

watch out for icing up if u do, wear gloves in case you have to shut it off quick cos your skin will stick to the frost

Last thing you want when you need to turn off a cylinder quick and get out of it's way is ending up stuck to it

yep all that as well..we do it all the time from 47kg,s into more manageable 19,s to move about the roofs easier

I had one leak and do it was quite worrying as the bottle was full. one of the large ones so couldn't exactly leave it to empty tipped it up the right way and got the tap turned off with gloves on

..talking of bottles Alan i cant sleep at night thinking of that blasting pot you have and don't need
