Just toying with the idea will be a while before I decide, I've watched a few videos of them on YouTube, I reckon I could get on up the garden path and into my new roomThey're handy little machines. Pretty simple to setup and adjust. Nice and simple to control for one offs, or can set a short stroke and work fast through a batch.
What tooling has it got with it?
That's one of the things I'm not sure on only ever used a press with controller/cnc, on older machines it always seems to be the controllers that give botherHas it got a controller, or handwheel adjustment?
Not often the controller, invariably something on the safety circuits or light guards that go for a Burton and stop the controller from being able to run. That's one of the things I'm not sure on only ever used a press with controller/cnc, on older machines it always seems to be the controllers that give bother
Not always that easy ,sometimes they are a right wotsit to override/ delete. Depends on how they have been integrated and that the controller is expecting to see….In a home workshop environment you'd get rid of the light guards
I worked with an old baykal that the control panel was always giving problems, not light guard related, and in the last place a press and shear panel with light guards disconnected, the power could not be shut of completely as the control panel then give problems coming back to life, one problem was loosing all stored settings, the baykal light guard problems where either to do with the support arms or the light guards being knocked out of line, it's handy being able to punch in stored settings but if it's going to give trouble then I'd be better with the hand wheel that sets the back stop and resetting the stroke etcNot often the controller, invariably something on the safety circuits or light guards that go for a Burton and stop the controller from being able to run.
Hurco autobend, brings back memories! Had that on a 120t Amada(same as Promecam) I used to use 20 years ago. Nice easy to use controller.Yes I have a 65-25 with hurco autobend 7 not used any other press brake they are fantastic once setup.
The brake shoes in them are hard to get hold of but I think they can be made from some tufnol
Tooling is cheap and plentiful pk tooling is cheap enough that I don’t really look at used tooling.
Yes really simple to use controller even for a one off not long had mine reset by an engineer with a new power board absolutely spot on nowHurco autobend, brings back memories! Had that on a 120t Amada(same as Promecam) I used to use 20 years ago. Nice easy to use controller.
