The "wheel chair" was for transporting about 10-12 staked chairs in large conference hall.
There is a bar that goes under the bottom chair so that both the users hands would be on the sack truck when pulling back.

Hi,

wow, that last gate's impressive.

Isn't there a lot of 'pull' on the main top hinge?

I'd have been inclined to have a wheel under the hinges of the smaller gate...or would that be overkill?

Yeah I thought about putting a wheel underneath before I fitted the gate up, but after fiting them there was not a lot of a drop.
Gates are made from 25mm box, 12 mm round bar with 40mm steel balls welded to the top.

did you use a jig to keep the balls streight while welding? - also has anybody got any tips on how to keep railheads streight?, i usually just tack them then beat them with a hammer-not the best way!

I made a jig to keep the balls in line whilst tacking up, then took them out and welded them up.

Those gates are really nice. Did you do all the bendy stuff yourself? If so, how did you get them so symmetrical?

All the bendy bars were shaped with a hammer and a block of wood+metal home made anvil (if you can call it that) and matched to a pattern that I had drawn out on a board.
The top curve was made with same method, hammer and anvil but with a flattener on top to stop hammer marks onto the box section

Nice job! Did you have to heat the strips or did you bend them cold?
