It will be interesting to see what they do to reduce the weight, I'm due to start mine soon after the racecars done, maybe I can borrow some ideas.

I bet they put a 4 pot paccar engine in,
I didn't but I couldn't think of anything more suitable for what they were doing.Hope you placed a wager on that! ;-)
If i was doing the job i would have stretched the daf chassis and put the body on to that, much less work and you would end up with a newer truck,
But i suppose it wouldn't do to all think the same.
There must be a reason the daf was so cheap with that low miles
But if it wouldn't meet EU emissions standards, isn't that largely down to the engine? And if the BOM folks transplant that engine then presumably they'd be transferring the emissions failings![]()
