Problems with Welder

I have a Firepower FP120 MIG Welder, and I am trying to weld basically anything that needs it. Well, when I weld, ANYTHING, the welder kind of welds on and off. When I'm trying to lay a bead, it'll go bzzz (pause) bzzz (pause) and then won't weld because the wire has backed up in the welder. I'm sorry, I don't know how to describe what happens, other than it sort of jumps, and it does it enough that the wire somehow gets offline with the liner, and when I try to feed the wire, it won't go, and just feeds into the welder. I have not been able to weld a successful bead yet with this dumb thing. Please help

Sounds like the wire feed is erratic. Check the tension and that the reel is not binding.

Cheap wire will also cause similar issues.

Other cause may be worn tips (or the wrong size one.)

Not sure what you mean with "offline with the liner". If it is bunching up, then check the the liner is up close as possible to the roller.

Thanks! Bunching was the word I was looking for. But, it just ticks me off, cause it does it everytime I go to weld something. And, how do I increase/decrease tension and what do I do to make it perfect to weld with?

Or could part of the problem be that I have no gas diffuser, contact tip, or nozzle on the gun, just the neck?

I assume you are using gasless wire?

Post a picture of the wire feeder.

Nope, no gas, I use flux-cored wire. I have no gas diffuser and no contact nozzle

You will at least need a contact tip.
