Hi folks,
New member here hoping you can point me in the right direction. Ive had a scan through previos posts, but didnt find anything quite like my problem.
I have a TIG 160 that has worked fine. I recently used it on a single phase mains generator that also was working fine..upon using the trigger the genset mains output failed. I now find that my 160 wont 'ramp up' on initial trigger..it kind of works as a scratch type welder, but I understand that theres a circuit in the welder that should ramp up the frequency until it 'jumps the gap' at the torch, then back off as you make your weld. Im fairly competent around a circuit diagram and I see the 160 has an HF generator module ( a Pimas labelled unit). The ARC function is working fine, by the way.
Any advice gratefully received, including good suppliers for spares/repairs.
Regards KK
