Problem with exporting a single parcel ???

This has been going on for 5 weeks now. I sold a bellhousing to a chap in Germany, sent form the UK. But not going into why as typing does my head in now.

Now it was delivered and was signed for and proof of delivery from DHL. Buyer said the whole workshop was closed when it was delivered and signed for and he cant see that it was delivered then or signed for.

He started a case on the 14/7 with PAYPAL. Proof of delivery is on 11/7, so he may of been away but the signed for was `workshop` its a garage he runs.

Paypal has blocked my account and taken the £200 back untill it is resolved but he said he is not back to work until end of July,

Does this sound like i have lost the £200 although DHL have given proof, Paypal go with the buyer most i believe. i loose the bell housing and money.

I'm having problems with a small parcel to a friend , it's like a bloody roundabout , now getting on for 3 months of enquiring to P2G who had it collected from the drop off point by Evri who sent it to Germany via DPD . & possibly Parcel Force international .
I've sent them photos of the wrapped parcel and a list & pictures of of the contents plus a copy of the carriers international label with numerous trackable data on it

Told yesterday it has been relabeled ( twice now , as a return to sender parcel ) was at the UK customs return good hub for the relabeling and is now in Swansea awaiting delivery to me ... Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha ! .

Ask DHL for the carriers delivery photo . , that should be enough proof it was correctly delivered ... though whether it was to the right address god only knows , perhaps a picture and a google earth drive of the address by might help you here .

dont mention evri to me had 2 45 gallon drums delivered from them two month ago and not even mine . no chance of talking to anyone on the phone only robots and just to take the p...iss recieved another 4 at weekend anyone want them cos gonna give the scrap man them next week

I will have to call DHL tomorrow and PAYTAPL, PAYPAL first i think, i didnt know i could call them, not i think it will be much use.

Doing my head in. How a lot of hassle started was DHL or Customs lost the Proforma invoices. I was being asked for a `paid invoice` by the buyer and customs and they said a paypal invoice will do, i sent it and customs said no good, they called me being a bit off in there tone from Germany. They wanted a `Proforma invoice`, which is totally different. I had it sorted in 5 mins as i had a copy to email them.

I give up nowadays aftewr this is done.

Near 2 months ago i sold this

1.7m x 1.2m GRP boat canopy and they lost it ( Tuffnells ) , and still waiting for a refund.

If you supply PayPal with all the proofs of delivery, it's implied that you will fulfil their requirements.

(they actually have a seller guarantee, or used to, but there are / were a lot of get out clauses)

Just be thankful that 50% of your trade wasn't business to consumer transactions to the EU.

Im still waiting for all the benefits I was promised for loosing half of my customer base.

Trouble is with these big Co they could not employ enough people to sort out their mess + fraud both ways and customs so they revert to computers to drive 50 % of us to say FI
and try not to deal with them , sent @Barking Mat a birthday get well soon card he gave me the address in France, it was returned not known and that's just a envelope
I must admit I have been lucky sending to AUS, Brazil, and US, & others with no problems

Its fine though, as "we hold all the cards" and "there is no downside"

I temp import automotive control units for repair and then re export in under 30days.

I now spend more time on the phone to UPS than I do repairing the few units that actually land on my doorstep (and don't get lost in a hub awaiting customs clearance). If it does not settle down soon - I am gonna pull the plug on units from the EU.

Ps. The two mentioned above are business to business. Business to consumer just doesn't happen any more. I mean, maybe a couple of sales a month - its hardly worth my IOSS subscription.

Dont send things to US without the correct wood stamps They will repack at HR and charge we sent a box that had come from US 10 days ago and were told the bearers at bottom did not have the stamp so re packed a £300 for 1.5 mtr cube it was as delivered to us

To answer @W.olly 's concerns.
If a customer opens a PayPal dispute, PayPal will immediately put the funds for that transaction on hold. They're only covering themselves from costs, as if a dodgy seller disappears, PayPal are then liable for any refunds.
Provided the dispute gets settled in your favour, then the money will be returned to you.

I'll admit I'm not entirely sure how PayPal are likely to rule though.
You have proof the item was delivered to the correct address, but if the recipient claims they never received it, it's a bit of catch 22 situation.

Does DHL Germany not take photos of deliveries?
