Hi All
I have an 2005 astra mk 5 which had a deep scratch which ran about 12" across the bonnet ,
I thought I would give it ago removing the scratch with 1500 grit wet and dry buffed and polished afterwards.
the only problem is the scratch is now barely visible but in the sunlight you can see where the clearcoat is lower where it has been sanded over the scratch.
The evening I done it I tought it was a great job until I seen it the next morning in the sunshine
.
I am very close to the basecoat so I cant buff the area to try and things back into shape ,
and was wondering would it be possible to spray over the low area with clearcoat and rub back down again without spraying all of the bonnet ?
Many Thanks
Chris
