just been in the back of my van looking for the rechargeable battery's as there all nearly flat. its windy and raining so climbed in the wind blew the door shut and it was dark so went to open the handle for the generally closed back door . guess what it wouldn't open and was locked in. its a new Peugeot partner with a solid bulkhead to the front so no escape. bad enough but was dying for a pee . fortunately had me phone in pocket and phoned the missus up to let me out. she said say please and il let u out never moved as fast in my life so anyone that has one don't get locked in

thought they all had internal handles ,,, sounds like a bit of bad design ,,

only the one lever for the door that is normaly closed and it wont move once the other door closed no handle on the side door neither

been in the transit with that same issue , It was a little finger pull lever to open it.

Thought they had to for hostages or something like that but sounds like an urban legend probably depends on make.

We had Transit the same, cant remember exactly something to do with dead lock lad was there for some time heard a noise though
They had broken interior light as well, my suggestion was to look after Co kit rather than trash it

id be looking into that ,, even a bit of welding rod round the right linkage ,, something to pull or poke ,

On the first model of pug partners, I went out on a breakdown, with wifie, pre kids, a good 13 / 14 years ago.

Left the keys in the van, managed to lock it.

Had to the break into it in front of a restaurant, full of clients.

No one said anything....

Dead drunk I fell into a freshly dug grave once, was very wet and drinking buddy nearly passed out laughing so much, took nearly an hour to get out covered in mud with little help, although on the upside he had wet himself
