Price for a grinder?

Ho all
Just wondering what price you would pay for a hitachi 4.5 inch angle grinder 110v. My local tool shop said 250euro: and another in said 280euro. : I can buy from the UK or Ireland.

...just put 'Hitachi Grinder' into Google or better still 'Hitachi xxxxx' where xxxxx is the model number they have quoted you for.

It does seem very expensive - this place has a 110V Hitachi for just over £60(+VAT) - failing that, go for a Makita - just happened to notice lots of those on Ebay earlier today (when I was looking for a 250v one).

i just bought a makita as i couldnt get a bosch, i always use bosches

the makita is heavier and the button is a pain in the ****

i bought a 4.in hitachi at the plowing match last year for 50 euro wit 10 blades great little grinder was think of buying a 5.in this year

Its the same old.... you can buy of ebay, a low powered lightweight model.... for £40. Or you can spend £140 and buy the industrial version.

I use a cheap 4.5" one for home, but it wouldn't last at work day in day out.
Even as a good brand, they do a budget and fully pro hd models. You get what you pay for.

thats what makes me laugh . sumones sellin g a dewalt drill ect big££££ WERE IN THE MONEYYYYYY but as u say whats the model number . they all make cheap crap as well as industrial . u just have to look on the id plate and look at wattages and how much torque these things have

Thanks for all the replies guys. I totally agree with you hitch thats why I didnt buy the ebay one. The one I was after is a G12SE2. If anyone has it, is it good and how much did you pay for it.
