Price check - 1000x2000x3 hot rolled sheet

Just been quoted £50+VAT to collect the above.

Seems dear to me, are prices really still going up at that sort of rate, or am I being taken for a ride?

When I bought some at Christmas it was about £35+VAT delivered.

After ringing round, 40.39 + VAT is the best I've found.

I would have thought that wasn't unreasonable, for someone to walk in off the street and buy...could it be a case of minimum order is £50?

Running it through Parker steels site, £53+ vat for a 2.5x1.25x3mm HRMS, but £90+ for a 2x1x3mm HRMS

Box 100x50x3 - £43.50+vat
Box 40x40x3 - £22.50+vat
Box 30x30x3 - 16.50+vat
Flat 40x5 - 8.50+vat
And free delivery

That was the cheapest i could find and it was my usual supplier (they're normally the cheapest that's why i like em)

All the box is 7.5/7.6metres, the flat is 6 metres

Mate i'm not sure how far they deliver, on the website they list west midlands, but give them a call i normally deal with a man named stuart.
