Pressure reducing valve for 25mm MDPE?

Does anyone know if you can get a PRV that will fit easily on 25mm MDPE? Everything seems to be 22mm or 15mm. I have dug a manhole as the mains comes in from the fields and would like to add a stopcock followed by a PRV in the 25mm MDPE but didn't want to use lots of adaptors to change sizes if possible to avoid them.

You'd probably have to go to a BSP threaded male/female iron.

Yep, everything I have found so far will need reducing in and out this way. Just wondered if anyone knew of a direct fit to 25mm MDPE but I dont think it exists. I am trying to reduce the numbers of joins/adapters needed and therefore potential leak points!

Fit a 3/4" female BSP PRV with a 25mm mdpe to male 3/4" both side - job's a good'un

Id bring it inside the building underground in mdpe like the regulations suggest at below 750 in a duct etc, then fit your stop cock. pRV etc as dscribed. Stopping freezing inside a man hole wont be easy.

The pipe drops about 100m from the meter at the mains over its run of over ~1 mile and supplies our house, annexe and four cottages. Ideally the PRV would go prior to this lot to protect them all. According to our neighbours, their line similar to ours has two PRVs buried on the run as the pressure increases as the pipe drops. The previous owner of our place thinks there is one buried somewhere on our pipe but I am still getting 6 bar at the outside taps. I can insulate the bottom of the manhole - the pipe is just over 3ft deep where I have exposed it.

If your run is so long and supplying five residences surely you need a far bigger pipe than 25 mm, at least 32 I’d have thought if not bigger

It is what it is unfortunately. Five of the residences are holiday cottages so not permanently inhabited and would rarely all be occupied at the same time. When we get enough money together I think we will go down the route of a borehole for a multitude of reasons.

100m of static head in water would be near enough 10 bar in pressure. So with no flow Id expect to see 10 so perhaps there is a PRV in the ground somewhere.
