Kind-of getting the feeling that a toolpost mounted air drill might be quite a handy little bit of kit, especially as I use a Dickson system.
Cast in ZL12 alloy, the adaptor would be plenty strong enough, could be through-bored on the machine itself, and would enable a large number of thoroughly obscure and seemingly pointless operations to be performed that wouldn't otherwise spring to mind at all....

Offset acurate drilling springs to mind straight away and indexible too off the chuck.

Many options for it. I once bought a VDI40 live er32 collet tool but never got around to fitting it to the lathe, they occasionally pop up on ebay and likely the most capable option.

The relevant one is this, he attaches a high power core drill with er32 collet, its a le to use a fly cutter with part held in the chuck for example. Watch near the end.
