Power supply for swp 170

Hi everyone, could anyone advise me on what power supply I need to run a swp 170 mig. My db board is in the garage so I have the option of adding more to the non trip side of the this. I need to know what cable I should use and if I need to put a blue plug in. Thanks.

what is the input amperage on the spec plate on welder

Hi, the book says max input capacity is 5.4kva. Is that the figure you are asking for. I havent took the welder out of the box yet as I asked for a 150A to be honest but my mate dekivered the 170A.
