I have something that is chrome plated which I want to modify and then powder coat. Can I have it powder coated over the chrome plating??

If I need the remove the chrome first how will I go about this at home? I've got access to sulphuric and nitric acids ?

Should be removed, you do this by reversing the process, it's cheap to have done

Another powder coating question, can it be applied over galvanising?

I've powder coated over both chrome and galvanise, with chrome you need to key it well otherwise the powder coat will peel off, with galvanise you need to flat it off to remove any nibs and spikes.

I was trying to make my life easy. I'm can easily remove the chrome before I cut and weld the object before powder coating
