Potential mismatch of shade...?

Planning on painting the removable panels of the car myself. The roof, rear quarters etc. are to be painted at the local bodyshop due to insufficient space.

The colour will be Mipa's Super Black, direct gloss. I have heard that should the conditions differ at the bodyshop such as the pressure of the paint being sprayed, ambient temperature/humidity, the result maybe a different shade of this colour to the parts that I've painted?

Could this be an issue, or nothing to worry about?

i belive even if he mixes 2 lots of paint with very carefull measuring there can be a shade differance

if your painting at home and hes painting in a shop yes i would say there will be a differance more so in the finsh of the paint as well

At least the final finish can be wet sanded being direct gloss which should help.

I'm only just starting out with spray painting but being premixed will help negate the effects of a difference in shade?

use paint from the same tin , when people mention differing conditions its more metallics that suffer as you can alter the flake depending how heavy /dry its put on

wont happen with black gloss if its all from the same mix

Blooming might happen if your painting in damper conditions? Ps I'm not a sprayer only done a few motor bikes over the years only a few things I pickup along my time there are better people on he for this than me

Why not get the body shop to do it all?
I feel as long as its from the same tin the colour should match but different technique , thickness etc may make a difference.
I didn't believe it until I looked at two paint jobs both the same but one used a Gold under coat one used grey!

I doubt one tin will cover a bonnet, two doors, two front wings and a boot lid.

Although some consolation to hear the pressure and type of the gun won't affect Direct Gloss.

5 tr tin would

worst case buy a new 5 ltr tin and mix it all into there

A part of me says I would like the bodyshop to undertake the complete bare metal re spray...the hesitation to spend five grand says otherwise.

Also, I'm keen to learn how to paint and produce a satisfying result.
