post gas setting

purchased a swp 180 r inverter set instructions are useless any help with post gas settings can it be turned down. has slope in / out but nothing for gas

Some weld post gas flows are pre set and cannot be altered, is there a particular reason you want to turn it down

had a quick look and it doesn't look like that machine has post gas control, at least you wanted to turn it down not up, so it'd only save a little gas anyway won't compromise the welds

tacking up 16swg sheets to make ducting, lots of ducts and lots of tacks. si,mply to save on the use of gas

I see where you are coming from but you risk knacking up your tungsten and getting oxide in your tacks
