vertical is vertical horizontal is horizontal no matter where it is depends what ur practising for I know this sounds obvious but a position don't change with the height. But no point practising for a job at waist height when its below floor with only top access.
I believe standard practice is that unless the test is specified as an overhead you can choose the height you weld it at, but once chosen you can't move from that position. Often the jig will be welded to make sure a positional weld is actually done in position and not rolled on the bench while the examiner is elsewhere...
yea its just for college im working through a british standards sheet. its just so im as comfy as possible lol i wasnt too sure on wether im allowed to move it or by how much etc
