looking at a new mig and found this,
good or bad, how much is it worth?

Do a search here for Portamig, you'll find lots of uses that have one and love it and those that wish they had one

Weldequip is the one to talk to, he sells/services them.

They are good units. You have a deal on one?

AFAIK that is the ORIGINAL portamig, the new ones are from a completely different company who bought the rights to use the portamig name. Butters did the same, they used to be NBC (norman butters company) and used to build very good machines then reinvented the company using just the name. I gather the old Portamigs were very good machines though, well worth a look if the price is right.
