portamig plasma

hey all,
I've heard portamig make a plasma cutter, anyone got info on it, is it any good? I want something for long cuts on 3mm stainless, and transformer based would be nice, though most seem awfully expensive £800+ for the clark ones, just interested to see what portamig have to offer really, or any recommendations for decent not too expensive plasma would be nice I've seen the R-Tech 40amp inverter and it's tempting, but not keen on the inverter bit :/

I see Technical Arc (who make the Portamig) now have a website, although it is still under construction. You can download a catalogue. From the looks of it they only supply inverter plasma machines?

hmm yeah only inverter tigs there as well though so I guess that isn't a complete list?
thanks though didn't know they had a site, not sure I want an inverter really don't want something that's gunna go wrong in a couple of years..

Hi rune. I work for tecarc. we have been manufacturing conventional transformer design plasma`s for 15 years +, although they are not on the website yet. weld-equip sells our range of machines. If you speak to steve, he should be able to get you all the spec`s and prices you need.
