hi all , first post and i have been lurking around for a month or so but decided to join up this evening,
if its ok i would like to ask people opinions on the portamig 235 and the sip 250,
reasons being every one seems to love the portamig and they come with the 2yr warranty but i like the sip because of its size and still comes with the same warranty ,
uses of the chosen welder will be making rock sliders and winch bumpers for a land rover 90 as i do alot of comps and help run a club
general maintance on said lr90
want to make a set of drive way gates
and the normal stuff that might come up as and when things breake or a mate asks a favour!
i like to think i know the basics of mig welding ( i can glue two bits of metal together reasonsably-just fixed a mates trailer) but as i have no experice of these welders, only a mates big three phase , i think its best to ask the people that own them. thanks in advance!
chris
