Weight soon adds up doesnt it.

I'll do you a video tomorrow hitch of what i can fit in the drawers and then ill weigh it. It may be suitable it may not, they do occasionally come up for sale.

I leave no tools on the van, so its the only way i can take everything out effectively.

Dont worry too much Brad, not seen any for sale, looking to buy something in the next week or so really. Thanks though.

Anyone know what these are like....?
Seen a few that look very similar, Beta, SGS, Sealey....

My experience of Beta is okay tbh, but seeing similar from SGS is making me think it'll be pretty flimsy.

I have a Beta rollcab (as well as quite a few hand tools); it’s pretty decent gear as you say. That trolley is from their “Easy” range though, which is kind of like what “Expert” is to Facom (i.e. budget stuff that’s nowhere near as good!). I’d be wary personally.

From @Hitch 's description I would say the wheels need to be of a decent size and to have bearings, being dragged around a few laps of a factory would kill off the small plastic wheels on things like the stanley box.

Neat. I could do with something like that, my garage tools are in two big metal cantilever boxes, probably 30 kg each and have to be carried up the yard every time I use them. My back is starting to complain. Got a source for the wheels?

Kind of nearly at that stage, chuck 2 old metal boxes on it and zip tie an umbrella to the handle

Don't think I can ever recall seeing a wheelchair in a charity shop. I suspect they usually go back to mobility providers or end up on eBay.

The wheels on that cart look a lot like the type you get on those all purpose garden trolleys, replacements are available on eBay and Amazon.

Off ebay, the cart came with pneumatic tyre which were always losing air and perished within two years, swapped them for the solid ones. Never buy anything like this with the pump up tyres, they are rubbish.

Found a few peli-case type ones, including this beauty from Stahlwille, but a bit spendy for my liking..

The Pelli type cases are very heavy before you put in dividers and tools.
We used them when EuroStar was still doing EuroDispatch, you could load up all the tools in Pelli cases at St.Pancras and collect them in Brussels or Paris.


Edit: I still have a large rolling CPC Pelli - alike case which I should move on to make a bit more space but again they are heavy and would cost a lot to post.

+ 1 for the solid tyres - just replaced my sackbarrow wheels and tyres, not old but when I removed the old tyres you could see daylight looking through the tread from the inside . A new set of solid wheels and tyres was no more than tyres and tubes.

I've got Keter stacking stuff. Yes "plastic" and less costly than Fatmax / Milwaukee etc - but I'm happy with them.
Good water resistance, optional add-ons and reasonable price & quality.
I had to work on site where I couldn't get the van (& inside buildings) - & being able to roll/pull the selected stacked stuff I needed out of the van... these did the job nicely.
(Note while I carted spanners etc, a fair bit of my gear was electrical meters, connectors, crimps etc, not all very heavy tools)

Looks kind of a similar amount to what i'll carry, I guess you leave that stuff in it all the time...?

Ill swap about what I take to jobs, depending on if its an install/repair/service. right down to tiny allen keys to big 6" c-spanners.

Around here they go to the local Red Cross. They hire them out, or send them abroad. Or if you ask nicely - sell you one fora small donation of whatever you think is reasonable.
