Portable mig for car body work

Hi, I have sold my Portamig as I am after a mig I can carry about and put in the van. I have kind of decided on the Kemppi minarcmig evo 200 but can't find any info out about anyone using them for car body repairs.

Has anyone on here used one for this that could share their opinion?

I am hoping to order one tomorrow but would like to get some feedback as to the suitability of this machine for bodywork.

Not the 200 evo but I have the minarcmig 180, predecessor to the evo and it is great for bodywork. I still use it with .8 wire and it welds anything I've tried it on so far. It's been used on Corsa, Fiesta, Micra, Polo and a few other makes including Land Rover chassis. The 200 just has a bit higher top end so it should do anything you want.

The 200 Evo goes down to 20A so it can handle steel down to 0.8mm, and it also has presets for mig-brazing which a lot of newer cars need for bodywork repairs, so it should be ideal.

Yeah, like Pedro says, it's good for anything within it's range, and does bodywork just fine on 0.8mm wire.
I gave away my 0.6mm wire soon after getting the evo 200, as I worked out I'd probably no longer use it.
