Hi guys, I've been stitch welding my engine bay on my car recently & every now and again i'm experiencing some severe porousity in the welds.
I'm grinding/wire brushing back as much as I can to bare steel to give a good surface on the parent material however every now & again without warning a small spot or heavy bubbling porosity appears.
Out comes the grinder back to bare again & second attempt.
This is mainly in seams I know where it's from it's obviously seam sealer / other contaminants in the seam bubbling though & getting into the pool but does anyone have any ideas how can I stop it?
I'll try & get a pic next time it happens...
