I have been trying to source a supplier of heat seal poly bags. Decent quality, not thin rubbish. I had a chap supplying me up until pre-pandemic days but he retired and shut up shop. The usual online emporiums are drawing a blank but then I could well be using the wrong search term.As always, any help gratefully received, this is what I am looking for:

Lidil do a vac sealing bag machine for food.....freezer use.......
the wife uses it all the time.....v/reasonably priced for domestic needs.....
Bag roll seem to be always in stock.....but think u can order in....ask in store....

With the right sealer its not - my dad used to design and build the things - twin element machine with a flying blade between them - seal the end of the bag leaving the machine, seal the beginning of the next, cut them apart all in one operation. With a single element machine it'd be a right pain as I guess you've discovered.

They look like 6" x 9" ish probably 350g plus....
7"x9" (400g) £22 for 500 on B of C

that's who I use for plastic bags, they know their stuff, phone them up

I know exactly which bags I want so I'm mostly price conscious, contacted them for a quote once, they were the cheapest by about £1,000 - not just if it's just a happy coincidence that they know what they're doing or if that's why they can be cheaper (I order a million a time)
