polishing mops

Now that my polisher is almost finished I need some mops and polish. I've found the Polishing Shop who seem to be the go to company. They offer advice but despite much trying we keep missing each other.
So, does anyone have any thoughts on mop sizes for this thing. It's 1.5 hp, belt drive and a double ended spindle. I was thinking 8" but 10" looks possible.

you will soon pull it down bigger than 8 inch x2 inch . plenty of speed needed and a firm pressure to get the heat up to polish. ive got a 1hp one with a 4 inch sizal mop on and can pull it down with a good push

8 x 2 is probably the max I would use, 8 x 1 was my finger in the air choice.

8 x 1 are what I would go for, I preferred using them to the 4" ones on the last polisher I made ( 1/2 hp). Surface speed was higher and the width meant not too much drag.
Think about dust extraction as well, mine was hooked up to the garage vacuum.
