I am a rank novice and can't weld worth a lick. I have a 66 ford galaxie project that requires that I do some welding. The previous owner bought fenders for it off a rear end wreck car and put them on. They had body moldings on the side that were drilled through. He proceeded to drill the doors and put the mating moldings on finishing the car to his satisfaction. I on the other hand want to restore this beauty to its original glory as it was a 7 liter car that did not have body side moldings. Therefor my question. There will be about 16 holes that I want to fill and I think the best choice between welding and bondo for long lasting repair is to weld. I just don't know which way is best. I don't have much money so I don't want to buy the wrong equipment and do a bad job. Anybody here willing to offer some advice?
