I think petrol should be higher in price,at present we are wastful with this valuable commodity and at sometime in the future the wells will run dry.
In Liverpool the double decker bus has almost vanished except for a few on certain routes,this means the single deck bus has tripled on the road and has made traffic congestion more dense and diesel wasted.
We have the Euro H&S to thank for this.
Don't agree with that.Blanket higher fuel prices causes the less well off to suffer disproportionately.
Road tax levies should be more extreme. Those who insist on buying ridiculous, excessively fuel consumptive vehicles should pay a level of tax that REALLY punishes that selfishness, like £5000 per annum or even more.
Then, even if there were idiots who still bought them because they could afford them would never be able to sell them as there would be no market for them.
Alternatively, give everyone a fuel quota per annum, once it was exceeded future purchases would become ever more expensive.

Or make the quota transferrable so people like me who don't do a high mileage could sell our fuel allowance to the rich people who drive gas guzzlers.
The total number of vouchers issued per month would be fixed at a level to keep pollution in check, so we get to meet our emissions obligations, unneccesary car journies will be reduced and there is a re-distribution of wealth.

you still get pratts on track, in the past iv had severve discussions with people over racing incidents finally relating to me being banned at a circuit!! it wasnt even my fault as he broke my toe when he crashed into me!
something does need to be done about the price of fuel more than anything, my only concern is that we nevr will have it fairly priced anymore

yep... lets have more control & price on fuel... & screw the buisinesses up even more...which in turn screws the whole eccomomy

fuel is such a scam; all this peak oil nonsense that people believe in and that it will run out and we'll be screwed so its best to screw ourselves now
newsflash; we have found a shed load of oil under the north pole somewhere; if we carry on burning more fuel, then as our mind controllers suggest, the ice caps will melt and we can access it
but first we must watch a spectacular hot/cold war between usa/canada/russia/denmark et al.
thing is the oil is always self generating, maybe not as fast as we are taking out? but there is shed loads of it untapped around the world; oceans of the stuff discovered near argentina somewhere (falklands
). it wont run out any time soon. then what we are also saying is that the human mind isnt good enough to find an alternative if when we eventually get to a stage of supply being an issue... but cheap oil makes no money for big business.
in reality there is plenty of oil but technology is also making head way in to fairly cheap energy. its being suppressed by the oil giants as they scupper to make the most out of this black gold in its dying days and also come up with a new energy that they can continue to control and make money off & most importantly control the markets with. something joe public cannot replicate.
