Please help identify this joint

Hi, I'm a long time reader but brand new member.

I'm currently working on an old sidecar, it's a Superelastik and goes with my MZ.

Anyway the panels are joined with an aluminium bead crimped over a small flange, I was hoping I wouldn't have to touch it but it turns out I do. I've spent hours searching google to no avail.

Here are some photos of it, if anyone could so much as point me in the right direction I'd be really grateful.

What is it you want to do with it ? It's going to be a bitch to separate but the only way looks like to slide it off one way or the other and that looks like it would involve a lot of heat and hammering.

I need to replace the floor panel which is rusted right up to this joint, so ideally I would take it apart and replace the aluminium seam

if you dont want to keep the alluminium strip just grind the top off it and all will separate

That's an old Iron Curtain Bike and side car outfit I believe, and it has been crimped to save on welding I should think but t.o.b.h never seen one like that, so just guessing.
