plastic insert in clamp on ali tube?

I have to make a couple of clamps that go on 1-1/2 ali tube, the clamps will be 3" long tube bored to 1-1/2 and split and clamped with a bolt[or two]. To prevent the wli tube getting marked up I was thinging of boring a recess int eh clamp and putting a bit of plastic sheet in it, or maybe a bit of plastic tube.

I wondered if anyone knew of anything like this commercially made, or have you cobbled something similar together with a bit of ice cream container?

Something commercial with shoulders, so I don't have to recess the bore, would be good, just thought maybe I can turn a bit of polythene pipedown.
