It's cheaper not to add it though and it would be wet (liquid) so the plaster would go off or the bags would leak Watch out with the sander, my friend seized his up getting it full of dust from the plaster.

sorry - should have specified (and I said litres, not kgs) - virtually all ingredients of washing up liquid are solids, dissolved in water.
I used to work at elida gibbs in the labs...

Next time you want to plaster get a helping hand from someone to mix the first batch for you,it takes the strain off you for mixing and cleaning up...thats why a plasterer employs a mate.
This can help you considerably as the need to sweat your pants off is reduced.

I only make 3/4 of a builders bucket as thats what I learned I can handle which goes pretty far really.

Tri sodium citrate is the retarder for plastering its what the Spanish use in spain I think? could be called summat else?
Gives you an extra 15minutes

useing fairy liquid as a plasticiser yes it dose work but adding it to cement would be suboptimal. as your also adding salt and that starts corrodeing steel that dosen't help but i think it has other negative effects, tho last time i dod some rendering at home i forgot to buy any plasticiser so used elcheepo washing up liquid.

when i was plastering for a liveing used to put some silly mixes on. with 2 plasters 1 labourer unless the walls wouldnt let us our minumum mix at one point was 3 bags , if the walls looked easy going 5 bags in mix wasent uncommon. i really dont miss tht job
