Plasma recommendations

Hi,

I'm contemplating buying a plasma cutter and wonder if anyone has any recommendations. It would only be used now and again and just for general DIY/car use so really don't want to spend too much.

What are peoples thoughts on the first two on this page - http://www.thewelderswarehouse.com/Welding/Plasma_Cutter.html

I've read to stay away from the Ebay ones but are they all rubbish from Ebay?

I recently purchased the 34K model with the built in compressor from The Welders Warehouse and I have to say I'm really pleased with it ! Very helpful people and delivery was very quick too.
Mainly using it for car bodywork - removed a front wing from an old Ford Sierra today in a couple of minutes - so neat and easy to use.
No hesitation in recommending this one for the purposes you require.
Same model is sold on ebay for about £1000 under a different brand name.
Machine is made by Telwin in Italy.
I think TWW price is good - bear in mind the current exchange rate between the £ and the Euro and we could start to see non-UK produced goods rise in price in the coming months.

The Clarke Plasma King 30Si cutter has been recommended and certainly looks a good machine (from the little I know). Anyone used one at all?

Vijay, I bought one like that with the built in compressor from Sureweld years ago. I went to their place to 'test drive' it before i bought it (near Northampton I think). It has been good, and stood up to a lot of abuse, but for sheer good quality plasma action, its hypertherm all the way.
