I need a new Plasma cutter (the old LTS cut 40 has jossed it) I'm looking at the PP50 from Plasma Part in Loughborough CUT50 50amp Air Start Plasma Cutter PP50

I'm wondering has anyone got any experiences of this firm or their equipment? I rang them today and intend to visit them on Tuesday for a demo but I'd be grateful to hear any thoughts from any other users?

Not personally, but they are often compared to r-tech.

Frosts versa cut is the cheaper lowered powered option.

I've had a Cut 40 off them, and a few odd bits and bobs. All good as far as I can see. I'd certainly use them again...

I'd keep an eye on the r-tech ebay shop - I picked mine up for a decent discount on RRP for having a few scratches and minor use in their training centre.

Just remember that their plasma 30 doesn't have pilot arc...

I recently bought a plasma cutter from plasma part, cut 40 pilot pro, an excellent machine and great customer sevice. I bought one previously from N----n Tools and it lasted 13 months (£400+) can't claim on warranty as they have gone out of buisness, buy from a company that looks like they will be around for a while.

Which one does not?? What is a Pilot arc?
