Hi chaps. Really this thread should have read, "Jeez, who the hell gave Furry a plasma cutter?'. Bit like a 6 year-old with a chainsaw really.
Bought a cut 40 from Weldequip this week and it really seems a lovely piece of kit; far better that I deserve. Anyway. Been trawling around looking for a good 'So you've gotten a plamsa,eh?' sort of tutorial including searching on Oo-toob and not really finding anything very helpful. OK I can cut steel with it, but I'm making a pig's ear of most of it. I'd like to learn about settings more, techniques, tips for well, tips and how not to fnurk them up all the time, cutting shapes, straights and generally being fab with it. At the moment the best I am getting from it looks like I have been cutting with artillery shells from 1000m away. Not the equipment's fault I can assure you.
