Plasma disaster? New torch?

I have a Hobart Airforce 25 plasma cutter that i have had for about 12 years or so with no problems, just replaced nozzle and electrodes.
I have been doing a lot of cutting over the last couple of days.
Changed consumables yesterday, started today then after about half an hour I saw a plume of smoke out of the torch.
Next a small jet of blue flame came out of the side and more smoke.
Curses.

I am not inclined to mess with electrical stuff.
We have a good company nearby I have used in the past fpr welder repairs and maintenance.

So am I likely to need a new torch?
Are they retrofittable or make specific?
Any brands anybody can reccomend.

Not sure on yours, but replaced hypertherm torch parts, individual parts got for them.

Flame from the side of the torch? Who knows, is there any obviously visible damage?

I took the nozzle off and could not see anything looking obviously knackered.
Hopefully getting it picked up today.

It's a question that occures to me often. Since the elleky stuff is just producing amps at a voltage (plus HF) as long as that continues, it must be the torch that is better or worse for the price. So could be changed to upgrade a unit?
