Plasma cutters

Im getting an AC/DC tig welder without a plasma cutting option.

Is it possible to get a torch that connects to an AC/DC inverter that hooks up to a seperate compressor for plasma cutting?

Just realised you said without a Plasma Cutting option, and no, you cannot just stick a plasma torch & compressed air supply onto any old machine. Intrigues me a little as very few western manufacturers make a multi-purpose machine like Lexis???

Well I cant make my mind up but I think it will be the The Portamig 206iAC/DC in the end.

We are pulling out an endownment and I am just waiting for the cheque to come through the post so I can send you one matey

Funnily enough Steve the lil machine I got is quite a handy bit of kit for a beginner. You have the MMA dc Tig and 40amp plasma. I already have a 210 arc so no advantage to me personally. The only reason I ended up with this model was because Greenbird don`t import the Cut 60 that I wanted.
I notice a few other Italian machines have Inverter with DC tig and mma arc but as you say it only seems to be the Chinese machines which has the three functions. If you can afford the Portamig get it.
