Plasma cutters and dust?

There's a Hypertherm 600 on the dreaded 'bay at the mo. Under a day to go and looking quite cheap. The guy says it's seen very little work but has been in a dusty environment which I shouldn't imagine is a good thing where inverters are concerned! Should I steer clear? If it's worth a punt, how much?

Hi Archie, I punted my hypertherm powermax 430 a few months ago. 3 phase, had a good run for it's money I was happy with £275. I wouldn't worry too much about it lying around in a dusty environ, a good blow out with airline will help.

I know the above is not a 600, may help a little??

Mine which is a 1250, has FOD, which will help in a dusty enviroment, good machine, carry 3 years waranty BTW....

Ended up going for slightly over 400. If it's in as good a nick as it looked someone's got a good deal, I reckon. It was just a bit more than I wanted to spend as I'm a bit wary about buying things like that unseen.
