I also use a firm out in the states, to import ag gear for a few of the machines i do work on, large concaves can be bought and shiped for under half of what i can referb them for, 4 times I have done this and got the proper customs numbers etc, a couple of times i picked up from kansas in person and put them on the flight american airlines did not bat an eyelid despite haveing about 100KGs of parts, one trip was our honeymoon and my wife was delighted to have to drive hundreds of miles to the **** end of knowere, Anyway the point I was trying to make is only once have the customs bothered to charge me i have declered them at the point of entry and the goods value however they just could not be bothered.
