Pipe threading stuff

Saved this lot from the skip, I know nothing about pipe/conduit threading so, is it worth owt or is it going back in the skip???

nahh i was the apprentice at 15year old and i had all the threading to do. makes a man out of u instead of a fanny all i did was extend the tube to give easier leverage

Apprentices get all the best jobs , my arms were knackered after threading a load of 1½" conduit.

I've got sets of dies , same as that , very rarely use them now , use the machine instead , but still handy , put them on ebay someo e wi have them , need handles for the bigger sets !

They’re of absolutely no use to me, so if anyone wants them, come collect them

With sharp dies they were OK with knackered ones a fair bit harder, 2.5 inch was the biggest we did I think
Worked for a Co. That specialiseed in church work, pipe threadin was preferable to bumping out the holes for the saddles with the Rawlplug chisel.
Did they throw out the pipe vise as well, one of those tools that if you need it great but don't know how much pipe work is used these days

I use a rotolock for my threading on anything plus off 3/4" bsp.

Use hand dies for galv conduit though as just easier.

Handy set if ever wanting to do any galv pipes or air pipes etc

Used to have an angle grinder style machine for in situ threading. Despite the slow speed it was a bit of a monster, especially when it bit in
