Pipe bending....Again

I've done a bit of looking around for a pipe bender. There are a lot of threads on the hydraulic one's and people have problems with them kinking or flattening pipe (sealing the ends up and filling with sand being an option)
I have recently seen this one and I was wondering if anyone had used one similar and weather it would be better than the hydraulic ones.

I'm looking to bend round tube up to 1 1/2 in, square tube up to 1in. All mild steel.

I think they have been a bit creative describing it as a pipe bender.
That sort of bender would only really be good for solid material.

thats a flat bar bender. they have been creative WITH THE GATES
A pipe bender uses formers to suit the pipe diameters. clarke do them hydraulic 114 quid

Wyn is right this best for solid bar, the one on ebay seem expensive looks the same as the one from machine mart (albeit red not blue) part no.051210002 MM one is only £80.48 and if you pop in on a vat free day only £69.98 and no Del

There's lots of plans out there for build it yourself benders. Snag is that there aren't as many ideas about build it yourself formers...

Apart from the sizes, what sort of watt thickness and what sorty of radius are you looking at?

you could make one like this .its easy enough.
the trouble with most formers is that they aren't design for decorative bending where a little kinking is a problem.
ie the 20mm hilmor former you could fit in a much bigger tubing if there is such a size 21mm.
if you need a tight radius or neater bends it maybe best to get them made.

I have some 21mm o.d. pipe/tube, i'm sure it's 1/2" bsp.
