Phone tracking apps

Evening all, can anyone recommend a phone tracking app?
I need one for my sons phone so I can make sure he on the school bus on time ect. He has an iPhone an my wife uses find my iPhone on her end but I have an Android phone so I assume I need to use a separate app.
Suggestions welcome.

Has that changed? I am sure it wouldn't workbpreviously from a browser on Android. Might be wrong though.

Just logged in to my wife's icloud using Google Chrome on my android. Then hit the "find my" and it works a treat.

He needs to sign into Google maps and share his location. Then you can follow him on Google maps. My wife did this using her iPhone and I have an Android phone. It worked just fine.

Life360 seems pretty good, I use that with our kids. The only trouble is they need data for it to work so if they manage to splurge it all you’ve no idea where they are, make sure you find a way to set a daily limit too.

He's on a contract with my wife's phone so not a problem. I may use that too as a backup

Now I know things are way different today because I lived the transition between my generation and newer ones.
Sounds strange but it's not at all, yes I'm probably the youngest here on the forum but I'm still old enough to have had the privilege to mess around with two strokes and use non touch screen phones.
Today teenagers are both sleeping and rushing on things, we all did etc...

I don't think this thing of tracking him would help to avoid him to make his mistakes etc...
It would only help to make things worse, how would you feel in his place?
Knowing your parents are stalking you...
The only thing this would do is making him think you don't trust him, feeling alone.
It's something I would never do if a day I'll have a son or a daughter.
With all due respect
Let him make his mistakes, gain his trust and just talk to him, make him aware of how bad the world is, tell him about your youth, and for example tell him about your school mate who crashed to the ground after doing drugs or things like that, randomly you start taking about something interesting like:
"When I was in school me and my friends used to go to all the car shows nearby, we eventually built a custom Ford escort, Tim made this, jack did this other thing.
We ended up selling it prior to finish it up because John was addicted to drugs we didn't notice that and soon he was no longer with us"
I made a sad story just to make a tangible example but you can apply that to everything from school, to good manners, alcohol, drugs, all kinda stuff.
It worked with me, off course my brother has been arrested when I was 6 or 7 so I've had another example.
Never got in trouble, never did drugs (everyone says I should ) never came back home drunk despite I use to drink but for some reason I've always been able to drink a lot without even getting drunk at all, never called from a police station etc
I did a lot and all sorts of bull@#*ts, made all sorts of mistakes possible and unimaginable.
It's the process to grow up, he can't live in a bubble.
Trust me the benefits of tracking him would be far less than the damages

I'm nobody to tell you what's bad or right, and I'm not a father so I'm sure I cannot understand many things.

This is all completely irrelevant,.my son is only 12 and I want to know if he in in danger.
To put it in perspective....
This evening a local Mum Put put a post on Facebook warning parents that her son was approached buy an older man asking him get in his car for a lift home. Fortunately the child immediately ran home and notified his parents and the police are investigating. This happened on my sons route for walking home from the bus to our house. ( 400 meters away)

We use 'family link' to keep track of the daughter, it's a Google app and it can be used to limit the phone use too.

I know it doesn’t help the op (I don’t know if you can install it on a iPhone, but it looks like you already have a solution) but yes we use google family link too on my daughters android phone. Works very well, and allows time limits on apps, and the device itself, as well as allowing certain apps all the time, eg messaging etc.

That's another topic.
Completely different to what I've firstly understood.
It's not something you can do much about.
There's serious threat, I don't know if someone already called police and told about this accident.
I'd go with a standalone gps thing maybe inside a shoe .
But the main problem has to be solved at the roots, using double zero buckshots.
