petrol welder toooo loud,exhaust swap ?

Hi all i have a mighty midget welder and its crazy loud,kind of makes it diffecuilt concentrating on doing a nice weld when it feels like ww3 is going on behind me.
I was wondering would it be possible to change the exhaust for a new one from a large motor bike or small car ?
if so,any idea on which engine size car or bike i should go for to avoid losing any power.

u havent said if its 2 stroke or 4 .if its a 2 stroke changing it will upset the fuel mixture as they need a certain amount of back pressure

Its a JLO 372cc Single Cylinder 2 Stoke built before H&S noise limits, equals a bloody loud welder.


I have one in the garage, your best bet would be to find the Mighty Midget adaptor housing/plate for the Honda GX390 engine.

Hayter (Mighty Midget) also fitted Lister and Petter Diesels.
