There is an evening course at Perth college 12 wks for 3hrs wk = £120. Starts January.

Has any one been on this course (in pervious years)?
Would it be any good (based on similar courses)

Not to shabby at mig welding, but nott tried any other method.

Or am I better off investing the £120 on a new helmet (only got an old Aldi Flip up)

A bit of proper training is never a bad idea all my welding has improved with a bit of advice from pro welders and a training course on TIG

Hmm i'm going to check it out. Only course I can find in Glasgow is Anniesland College and it's full time

did a course there about 35 years ago and it was full of middle age men welding gates and fancy stuff with gas welding think it was way before mig/tig welding told the tutor that it was not for me as I was hoping to do stick welding for use on farm work thank goodness he said someone wanting to do REAL welding so ended up with one to one tutoring while the "oldies" got on with their gates well woth it for me and went on to do a lot of repairs/fabrication while I worked there
