Perforated Steel Sheet

Does anyone know where I can get part sheets of this stuff:

I have found suppliers of full sheets but I only need about a square foot!

R2, T3 about 1mm thick. 1.5 would be fine too.

Any suggestions near to Kent if possible!

We've loads of offcuts of this stuff. 2mm thick, and a slightly different pitch/hole dim, but can shear some off if you want. Think you might be hard pressed to find someone with an offcut that is an exact match.

Welderpaul - that's great, thanks very much. I have some with 3mm holes (not sure on Pitch), but its a bit too big for what I'm doing (I dont think that the thickness is going to be too much of an issue). It's for the centre of a steel sunflower I've made up, so it needs to look vaguely to scale. It needs to be about 100mm dia when dished, so I guess anything from about 6" square upward would do nicely. I only specified the foot square so I would have enough spare for cock ups!

I have tried to make one up using 1mm sheet, and 'spotting' the seeds on with the mig, but it looks rubbish to be honest! All I ended up with was an arty farty ash tray for the garage!

So if your stuff has holes smaller than 3mm I will take you up on your offer, as long as you dont mind putting it in the post for me - beer tokens await!

I know we have a good bit of perf sheet kicking about, got some small thin stuff. Think its about 1-1.2mm thick, holes must be about 2.5 iirc. Its galv'd.

I can have a measure if you like.

Thanks Hitch, but it's going to have a weathered (rusty!) finish, so no galv!

Ah, ours will be galvanised as well. Grind it off the surface? The holes are punched after the sheets are galvanised, so no galv in the holes anyway.

Holes are 2mm dia iirc.
