Pendant drill/Flexshaft motor thread sizes.

I've got the chance to buy an old Millbro motor but it comes without the flexshaft part. The genuine ones are out of budget. Are the thread sizes where they connect to the motor all the same size? Would I be able to buy a chinese shaft and it would fit onto the motor or are they manufacturer specific?

I have 2 different units they are not compatible
The Millbro ones are quite pricey but so are the motors

Thanks, I suspected they may be different between manufacturers. Wanted to double check before a cheap 2nd hand motor turned into an expensive mistake of a purchase.
