Good Evening everyone, could any one recommend a UK based company that can supply a heavy duty pedestal bench grinder. thanks in advance.
I wouldn't want to lean too hard into that grinding wheel, it would be on the floor.Use some scrap tube, steel plate and an old brake disc?
A Good excuse to do a bit of welding…..

Another option is to make a clampable grinder base.
I've a 6" & 8" that I mount on the bench vices and put them away after use. Also clamp up in a workmate outside for really dirty/dusty work.
Handy if you don't have the space for a permanent floor stand location, but I guess you do![]()
On enquiry, the patent office told me to grow up - rather mean spirited of themI'm planning on doing similar for mine, as in a clampable mount. I've just built a shelf unit outside the workshop door, with one shelf specifically for the grinder. Don't want to be grinding in the workshop, but need something set up so that I can sharpen drill bits etc. Don't want to permanently affix to the shelf, so that I can swap grinders etc.
